PROFESSIONAL SCOPE, POLICY & DISCLAIMER
My life and work are governed by three non-negotiable values:
Spirituality. Truth. Love.
-
Spirituality anchors direction.
-
Truth shapes every decision.
-
Love governs how strength is expressed.
I aim to work with clarity, integrity, responsibility and professionalism.
This page sets out the professional scope, boundaries, responsibilities and general policies that apply across TRUTH Code™ services.
Please read it before booking, applying for or engaging in any TRUTH Code™ service.
Personal Policy Statement
I work with clarity, integrity and professionalism.
I will be transparent, direct and genuine with you, and I ask for the same seriousness and responsibility in return.
I bring empathy and compassion without avoiding what needs to be addressed.
Once we agree to work together, I commit fully to the agreed scope of the engagement.
I ask clients to participate honestly, engage responsibly and apply what has been agreed where appropriate.
This helps establish the trust, clarity and responsibility required for serious developmental work.
Scope of Practice
TRUTH Code™ provides:
-
leadership resilience coaching;
-
psychoeducation;
-
embodied formation;
-
selected combatives-informed practice where relevant and appropriate;
-
organisational resilience workshops, intensives and consulting;
-
Christian formation where explicitly requested and consented to.
The work is educational, developmental, coaching-based and formation-focused.
Leadership resilience coaching helps leaders examine and strengthen how they think, communicate, decide, recover and act under sustained responsibility and pressure.
TRUTH Code™ is not:
-
counselling;
-
psychotherapy;
-
clinical psychology;
-
psychiatric care;
-
medical care;
-
clinical diagnosis;
-
psychological assessment;
-
trauma therapy;
-
treatment for mental-health conditions;
-
crisis support;
-
legal, financial or medical advice.
Diagnosis and treatment of medical, psychiatric, psychological or mental-health conditions belong with appropriately qualified professionals working within the relevant scope.
Coaching, Counselling & Training Boundaries
TRUTH Code™ is coaching, psychoeducation and embodied formation work.
It is not counselling or psychotherapy.
Coaching and counselling are distinct professional services.
TRUTH Code™ coaching clients are not counselling clients.
If a separate service were ever offered under a different professional framework, it would be clearly identified, appropriately contracted and governed within its own scope.
My current professional experience, training, continuing development and scope are set out on the About page.
Pressure Integrity Diagnostic™ — Non-Clinical Scope
The Pressure Integrity Diagnostic™ is a private, paid, non-clinical coaching and development service.
It helps a leader understand how pressure is affecting their clarity, steadiness, communication, decisions and action, and identifies the most appropriate next step.
The term Diagnostic is used in that non-clinical coaching and development context.
It does not mean:
-
clinical diagnosis;
-
psychological assessment;
-
medical assessment;
-
counselling assessment;
-
psychotherapy;
-
treatment.
The detailed practitioner method behind TRUTH Code™ is not published as part of this public scope statement.
Trauma-Informed Practice
TRUTH Code™ may use trauma-informed principles in the broad sense of working with awareness of how stress, threat, pressure and past experience can affect behaviour, emotion, decision-making and embodied response.
Trauma-informed coaching is not trauma therapy.
I do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for:
-
PTSD;
-
complex trauma;
-
dissociation;
-
depression;
-
anxiety disorders;
-
addiction;
-
self-harm;
-
psychosis;
-
personality disorders;
-
eating disorders;
-
other mental health conditions.
Where a client's needs appear to require therapeutic, medical, psychiatric, or specialist mental health support, I may decline, pause, discontinue or refer the work to an appropriately qualified professional.
Suitability, Referral & Safeguarding
I may refuse, pause, discontinue or refer work where I believe:
-
the work falls outside the professional scope of TRUTH Code™;
-
counselling, psychotherapy, medical, psychiatric or specialist mental-health support may be more appropriate;
-
there is a safeguarding concern;
-
there is a health and safety concern;
-
the client is in crisis;
-
the work would be unsuitable, unsafe or professionally inappropriate;
-
responsible participation is not possible.
TRUTH Code™ is not a crisis service.
If you are at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else, contact emergency services or attend an appropriate emergency service.
For urgent psychological or mental-health support, contact an appropriate NHS service, your GP, Samaritans or your local crisis service.
Where another professional route appears more appropriate, referral or signposting is not a failure of the coaching process.
It is part of responsible scope.
Faith-Integrated Work
My Christian faith shapes my life, values and deeper understanding of formation.
Explicit use of Scripture, prayer or Christian formation is included only when requested and consented to.
You do not need to share my faith to engage with TRUTH Code™.
Spiritual reflection, Scripture, prayer or Christian formation are not substitutes for counselling, psychotherapy, medical care, safeguarding or mental-health support.
Any faith-integrated work remains within the agreed professional scope of coaching and formation.
Physical, Embodied & Combatives-Informed Practice
Some TRUTH Code™ engagements may include optional embodied exercises or selected combatives-informed practices where these are relevant and appropriate to a defined developmental purpose.
These may involve structured awareness and practice relating to areas such as:
-
posture;
-
breath;
-
orientation;
-
boundaries;
-
communication;
-
deliberate action.
Any such practice is explained in advance and adapted appropriately.
Physical contact is not mandatory.
Participation is voluntary and may be:
-
declined;
-
modified;
-
paused;
-
stopped.
Physical practice carries inherent risk.
Where relevant, appropriate safety, health and consent information is provided before participation.
I may stop or decline any physical or embodied practice where I believe it would be unsuitable, unsafe or professionally inappropriate.
The purpose is developmental.
It is not aggression, dominance or the performance of toughness.
Organisational Services
TRUTH Code™ organisational services are leadership resilience and organisational development engagements.
They may include:
-
workshops;
-
facilitated leadership development;
-
organisational resilience intensives;
-
leadership advisory and consulting.
They are not substitutes for:
-
HR;
-
safeguarding;
-
occupational health;
-
workplace therapy;
-
clinical services;
-
legal advice;
-
medical or psychological treatment.
Each organisational engagement is scoped according to the client context, objectives, participating group, practical requirements, professional boundaries and relevant risks.
Where another professional function is required, that work should remain with the appropriate specialist.
